Day of the Devil

by Henri

The Day of the Devil started long time ago in Guate City. They celebrate burning of the devil on December 7. The people bring all old clothes and then make a doll in the shape of a devil. When it is ready to burn at 7:07 p.m., everyone says good by old year ans says welcome to a new year. At the time 7:07 it starts a war with fireworks while people are talking, drinking chocolate, and hot bread. Then they go to sleep.

On the same day from 11 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. a lot of men take a shower of paint colors like a devil to attract the people to say hello. If you don't say hello, it is on yourself to paint your clothes.
